On the road to NABBA Championships in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. The San Antonio Brass Band – SABb the first band from the southern United States to compete in this competition will be competing in Section 1. My personal journey, this is the hardest music I have ever played. I have put in a lot of time, energy, and effort into my part, giving up other playing opportunities to carve time out of my already busy schedule as a music teacher to work on my part. My goal is to play at the top of my game and be a part of this amazing ensemble. So far, because of the weather my flight has been delayed 12 hours. Let’s see if I make it to Ft. Wayne tomorrow, first to Indianapolis then driving to Ft. Wayne. I have a homey Airbnb waiting and so excited to see and hear what NABBA is about.
